The Round Rock Public Library always does such an amazing job with programming for the whole family and this Spring Break is no exception! There are things scheduled for members of the whole family during the RRISD Spring Break week of March 17th – March 21st. The below are just a few of the exciting things that are planned.
Monday, March 17th, bring all kids ages 5 and up to the library for the Spring Break Games. Join in on the fun in the second-floor program room and Discovery Garden for giant games, board games, and more. This come-and-go event will take place from noon – 3 pm.
You can wrap the night up on the 17th with Family Storytime held in the youth services program space on the second floor. While families with children of all ages are welcome, children ages 18 months – 6 years old will enjoy it best.
For the folks 16 years old and up in your family, there will be a Scrabble Night on Wednesday, March 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in Meeting Room C.
If the weather permits, the library will be hosting an outdoor story time on Thursday, March 20th from 10:30 – 11:00 AM. We’ll meet up in the second floor Discovery Garden for books, songs, and rhymes alongside your toddlers and preschoolers.
Join Texas Parks and Wildlife – Inland Fisheries and Living Waters Fly Fishing on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the 2nd floor Youth Program Space where children, ages 7+, will learn about fishing in Central Texas with an emphasis on our local Brushy Creek. Texas Parks and Wildlife aquatic experts will show-and-tell items related to their jobs along with a focus on local aquatic systems.
Finally the new fish tank has been installed at the library and the first batch of new inhabitants are ready to say hi! Bring the kids by to check out the new installation.
And remember – the Summer Reading Program will be kicking off the first week of June! Add a reminder to your calendar as the whole family can participate for some really amazing prizes.
